My name is Nick A, I am a freshman in the class of 2014, and I’m the guy who wears one glove. Don’t ask me why. So far I’m having a great time here at our school, and hopefully that won’t be changing any time soon.
My goals for school are to do well in all of my subjects, getting no grade lower than a B and maintaining a 3.5 or higher GPA, and improving my skills. I want to get better at writing reports and essays, taking notes, and all those things. My goal is to graduate from a UC college and get into a profession I enjoy that makes a decent living. But probably the hardest goals for me would be getting over my writers block and crippling procrastination, and being able to bring myself to crank out generic answers when I need to.
Nick A's brainstorming diagram!
Goals for my family are to show my mom that I can in fact be responsible, which she for some reason does not think is physically possible. I want to get along better with my sister, though I find it difficult seeing that I would need her cooperation to achieve this. I want to help out around the house more often, and help my dad with projects and other things.
In my social life I want to stay in touch with old friends, but also make new friends. I want to stay in touch with Dahvi who has moved to Texas, and also Spenser who still lives here in Ventura, though is curiously hard to see out of school. I want to generally be more social and get out of the house more often and go do things. I want to get better at making new friends and making things happen for myself. If I want to go do something, go do it. I also want to get better at talking to adults, which I find to be rather difficult.
I want to get into shape and be healthier. I want to eat more natural foods and slow down on the junk food. I want to get stronger and improve my stamina, which seems to be seriously lacking. I want to get better at eating the right amount of food, which is difficult since my medication really messes with my appetite.
I think all these goals are pretty reasonable. Good job, decent wage, good health, friendship, a sense of responsibility, just overall a good life. Well its time to wrap this up. I’ll come back and tell you when I achieve my goals. (Yeah, right…)
